PREPARE FOR YOUR AUDITION

If you are interested in tools to prepare for your audition, below you will find suggestions for practice materials. We encourage children to select a song that is familiar to them but if they do not have a song there are some suggestions below. You are not required to memorize or be familiar with any of the items below, these are simply suggestions. It is also helpful for your child to sing at home with family to prepare for auditions. You can create mock auditions at home to familiarize your child with singing out loud. Our directors are aware that this is often a child's first audition experience and we work hard to create a welcoming environment for students to feel comfortable sharing their voice.

Interested singers should complete the ONLINE AUDITION APPLICATION.

Don't worry if the sight-reading passages seem confusing to you. The directors will explain what to do during the audition, and they recognize that many auditionees do not have any sight-reading experience. Performance on the sight-reading component does not affect acceptance and only helps us place students in the ensemble where they can achieve the most success.
